A criminal organisation which operates throughout both the Kanto and Johto regions. Run by Giovanni of Viridian City, Team Rocket's sheer financial and political influence has thus far prevented Giovanni himself from being sentenced by any courts or justice departments.

The main purpose of Team Rocket is to capture rare and powerful Pokemon, either to satisfy Giovanni's collector's side or to help further the cause of the organisation by lending their strength to particular sting operations. Most noteable of Team Rocket's former Pokemon is Mewtwo, who plays a large role in the Watchers of Raikou story.
