Watchers of Raikou

Knite Ferasim

Page history last edited by gazmof@... 2 yrs ago

The main antagonist of the first story, Watchers of Raikou. Knite is a mysterious youth skilled in the arts of both armed and unarmed combat as well as being an exceptional Pokemon battler.

Knite is an enigma to both his enemies and allies - both contemptable and yet at the same time extremely charismatic; Knite cares little for others and yet his Pokemon love and respect him without question. Not much is known about the boy's history (presumably because he does not wish to share it with others), though it is known he hails from either the Kanto or Johto regions.

Warning: Spoilers for Watchers of Raikou appear below this line:

Overview:

In Watchers of Raikou Knite first reveals himself by attacking and burning Zak Vangard's entire village to the ground in an attempt to find Geol Vangard, Zak's father. He and Zak battle briefly, Knite's Charizard and Zak's Nidoqueen appearing to be evenly matched, though Knite clearly has the edge over Zak. Nevertheless, Knite is impressed by Zak's ability and decides to reveal his identity to the boy before leaving the scene on his Charizard and heading east back towards the main country of Johto.

Knite is not seen again in the story until after Zak arrives in Azalea Town, and it is here that Knite is revealed to be working for Team Rocket, though for what purpose is unknown at the time. Knite then proceeds to leave the work to his allies whilst he heads off towards Mount Silver (it is later revealed that he battles with Clair, the leader of the Blackthorn City Pokemon Gym).

After both Axel and Tanner fail to stop Zak, Zak, Whitney, Zeni and Falkner coordinate an infiltration of Team Rocket's secret underground facility located near the Ruins of Alph. Zak and the others defeat Rackus, another member of Knite's team, rescuing Scizor from Team Rocket's possession, before giving chase to Tamara Ravensburg, who flees the scene in an attempt to warn Knite of what has happened. Unbeknownst to Zak and the others, Knite is awaiting their arrival on the top floor hangar, where he and Zak have another armed fight. Knite is impressed by Zak's level of improvement, though it is clear they are still not evenly matched. Eventually Zak is worn down and Tamara is about to finish him off with Salamence's Hyper Beam attack when Scizor intervenes, throwing itself in the line of fire in order to save its master. A surprise attack on the Team Rocket base by the Guardians of Raikou then occurs, and Knite and Tamara are forced to flee amidst the chaos.

Relationship with Clair Ibuki:

During the early stages of Watchers of Raikou Knite battles Clair, the leader of the Blackthorn City Pokemon Gym, who refers to him as "brother". Whilst it isn't clear if the two are in fact related or if Knite simply trained at her Gym in previous years, the fact remains that the two are familiar with each other, and each holds respect for the other.
